Two men are shot after row outside pub

TWO MEN are recovering in hospital after a shooting incident in Co Wexford yesterday.

The two victims, along with a third man, were involved in an argument with another man behind The Boro Inn pub in Clonroche, halfway between Enniscorthy and New Ross.

One of the men left the scene, before returning with a shotgun. Two of the men received gunshot wounds.

When the emergency services arrived, they found two men on the ground, bleeding profusely.

The victims were removed to Wexford General Hospital, where they were detained. However, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The three men who were shot at are well known in the village and the incident has left locals shocked.

Gardai say they are following a definite line of enquiry and are expecting an early arrest.

The scene of the shooting has been sealed off by gardai for a forensic examination.
