Two men and one woman arrested over seizure of cannabis worth €150,000

Two men and one woman have been arrested over the seizure of cannabis plants worth €150,000.
Researchers found the hormone reduces the brain's sensitivity to the high-inducing compound in cannabis

Two men and one woman have been arrested over the seizure of cannabis plants worth €150,000.

As part of a planned operation, gardaí from Navan garda station searched a house in Wilkinstown at around 4pm yesterday.

They seized a large quantity of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €150,000, along with equipment believed to be used in the cultivation of cannabis plants.

Two men aged 59 and 34, and a woman aged 32, were arrested at the scene and they were detained at Navan and Kells garda stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. 

The two men were released from garda custody this afternoon and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. 

The woman remains in custody in Navan Garda Station under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
