Two men (20s) arrested after Garda cars rammed by stolen vehicle

Two men have been arrested after ramming two Garda cars in Louth.

While attending a burglary in Willville, Carlingford last night, Gardaí were alerted to a property nearby where a Toyota car was stolen.

Gardaí from the Regional Response Unit assisted in this investigation and attempted to stop the Toyota car at Millgrange, Carlingford. The Toyota car then rammed two Garda vehicles.

Two men in their 20’s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Dundalk Garda Station under the Provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Investigations are continuing.
