Two hurt in Limerick stabbing incident

A WOMAN in her 30s and a man in his 20s have been injured during a stabbing incident in Moyross, Limerick.



The incident happened in the Pineview Gardens area following a disturbance at around 9.45pm last night.

The injured were taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Last November a man celebrating his 60th birthday was stabbed in an incident at a house in Moyross. He was treated at the Mid-Western Hospital for his injuries and later released.

An 18-year-old man was killed in a stabbing at another house in Moyross in March 2009. Darren Bennett was stabbed during a row outside a house on Creaval Park, Moyross, in the early hours of the morning and died in hospital from a wound to the abdomen.
