Two held over serious assault of French tourist

TWO men have been arrested by gardai investigating an attack that has left a man fighting for his life.
The 26-year-old man, who is reported to be a French tourist, is critical after a serious assault in Dublin city centre.
The two men, who are in their 20s and believed to be French-Canadian tourists, have been arrested by gardai investigating the attack at Temple Lane South in Temple Bar at about 12.45am on Sunday.
Gardai said the victim was seriously injured in the incident and was taken to St James's Hospital.
He was later transferred to Beaumont where he remains in a critical condition.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses.
