Two men have been arrested in connection with dissident republican activity.
The men, aged 39 and 45, were detained following the search of a house in Newbridge, Co Kildare on Thursday night.
Gardai discovered a number of items used for the manufacturing of pipe bombs during the search.
The men are being questioned separately in Naas and Newbridge.
