Two men are being questioned after a stolen car crashed into a police car in Belfast

Two men have been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a police car in Belfast.

The men, aged 17 and 25, were detained shortly before 10am on Sunday at Albert Street.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officials said that officers had received a report of a car performing handbrake turns.

The car had been reported stolen from the Newtownards Road on Saturday night.

No injuries have been reported, the PSNI confirmed.

The incident comes a week after Constable Philippa Reynolds was killed when a stolen 4X4 vehicle crashed into a patrol car in Londonderry last week.
