Two dead after separate stabbings in Dublin and Galway

Two men died in separate knife attacks in Dublin and Galway last night.

In Galway a man in his 50s, whose body was found at an apartment in Salthill, is understood to have died of stab wounds.



A woman in her 30s has been arrested and is being questioned at the local Mill Street Garda Station.



Meanwhile, in Dublin, a man in his 30s died after a fight broke on Sarsfield Road in Ballyfermot, at around 10pm last night.



He was rushed to St James's Hospital but he was pronounced dead a short time later.



Eight people, in their 20s and 30s, have been arrested.



They are being held at Ballyfermot, Lucan, Clondalkin and Tallaght Garda Stations.
