Two brothers - 'members of Limerick crime gang' - arrested as €50k worth of drugs found

TWO men - understood to be brothers and part of a Limerick crime gang - have been arrested after gardai raided a house and found €50,000 worth of drugs.
"As part of an ongoing investigation into Organised Crime in the Limerick area, Gardaí from Henry St Garda station assisted by Regional Support Unit searched a house at St Mary's Park, Limerick this evening," a garda spokesman said.
"During the course of the search Gardaí discovered a controlled substance believed to be Heroin with an approximate street value of €50,000(pending analysis)."
The two men are aged 43 and 40 years of age were arrested and are being detained at Henry St. Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking) Act 1996
"These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks," the garda spokesman said.
"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality."
