TWO brothers have been charged with threatening to kill their neighbour.
Kieran (34) and Damien (20) Collopy were brought by gardai to Limerick District Court yesterday after they were arrested in the city last week.
Judge John O'Neill heard that the Collopy brothers, who are from St Ita's Street, St Mary's Park, Limerick, have both been charged with threatening to kill Willie Moran at St Senan's Street, St Mary's Park, on April 14.
They were also charged with trespassing on the same date while Kieran was charged with assaulting Mr Moran.
Gardas Donal Moynihan and Colum O'Shea gave evidence of arresting, charging and cautioning the brothers. Neither made any reply when charged.
Solicitor John Herbert said he had no questions for the arresting officers and asked that the case be remanded until tomorrow. Mr Herbert said there would be a bail application.
The judge remanded the brothers in custody to appear before the same court again tomorrow.
