Two arrested over fatal shooting of Peter Butterly

Two men were arrested this morning in connection with the fatal shooting of Peter Butterly in March last year.

Butterly, who was aged in his 30s, died after being shot a number of times at Gormanston in Co. Meath on March 6th 2013.

This morning two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested in connection with his murder.

They are being detained at Kells Garda station under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Five men were previously arrested after the car they used to flee after the shooting was stopped by Gardaí on the Balscadden Road. Three were charged and two were released.
