Twenty suspects in court after drugs probe

Published 20/11/2012 | 05:00

TWENTY suspects, including three juveniles, have appeared in court as a result of a garda investigation into the sale and supply of drugs.

Gardai from Ballyfermot and Clondalkin arrested 40 people in the past three weeks under Operation Klaxon, which began in March.

More than 150 charges have already been brought as a result of the covert operation, which was aimed at dismantling a number of drug distribution networks on the west side of the capital.

Gardai said several drug seizures had been made during the past few weeks and pointed out that their focus was to gather evidence against significant drug dealers in the Ballyfermot and Clondalkin areas of west Dublin.
