Irish travel agents could earn as much as €2m to send fight fans to Las Vegas for Conor McGregor's battle with Jose Aldo on December 12.

The figure is based on the price of package deals combined with the number of Irish people who travelled to the last fight. Over 2,400 fans made the trip from Ireland to Las Vegas for McGregor's bout last month.

But travel agents could earn more as prices are "set to skyrocket" according to a spokeswoman for Sunway. Currently, Sunway's cheapest package is for flights and three nights' accommodation in the three-star Stratosphere Hotel on the Las Vegas strip for €659 per person. This goes up to €759 per person for three nights at the four-star MGM Grand.

Sun Holidays' prices are based on a four-day stay, flights and accommodation, and range from €620 to €695. Budget Travel and Joe Walsh Tours are also launching packages.
