Trains get connected to internet
TRAIN passengers travelling from Dublin to Cork will be able to enjoy free internet access under a trial scheme being rolled out from today.
Iarnrod Eireann yesterday announced wireless internet (wi-fi) will be available on selected intercity services between the country's two biggest cities during a six-month trial period.
And while it will be free initially, the rail operator's partners FleetConnect will eventually begin offering access at a variety of prices.
Meanwhile, Bus Eireann has unveiled a new website which shows customers how long they will have to wait for their bus at: www.whensmybus.ie
