It’s time for November rain, and it’s not the Guns and Roses kind.
Met Eireann are predicting widespread rain at various stages through the weekend. Although temperatures are mild for this time of year, we’ll see some very unsettled, wet and windy conditions over the weekend.
This morning will be cloudy with some rain and drizzle but it will become mostly dry by early afternoon with some sunny spells developing. A few isolated showers will fall on the west coast, and temperatures will reach 13 to 15 degrees.
Tonight, rain will become heavy along Atlantic coasts and spread eastwards through the night.
Tomorrow morning, widespread rain will gradually ease, and scattered showers will fall in the afternoon with some sunny spells developing.
Saturday night will be mostly dry with just a few lingering showers in the northwest. However, towards morning rain will push into the south and west. Sunday will be cloudy and breezy with widespread rain which could turn heavy at times.
The rain will clear on Sunday evening, but yet another spell of rain will push into the west before Monday morning.
Monday is expected to be wet and windy with strong south to southwesterly winds.
Overall though, it will be very mild over the weekend, and top temperatures will reach 13 to 15 degrees again on Monday.
