Three youths arrested in connection to house burglary spree

Three young men have been arrested as part of an investigation into a number of house burglaries in Co Offaly.

A significant amount of property and jewellery, totalling over €30,000, were taken from the Edenderry homes.

Criminal damage in excess of €300,000 was also caused by the perpetrators.

The arrested men, aged 16, 17, and 19-years-old, were detained at Tullamore Garda Station and charged.

The two younger men were later released on bail to Tullamore District Court on May 21.

The 19 year old male was remanded in custody to the Criminal Court on May 22.

These arrests bring to six the number of people from the Edenderry area who have been charged and brought before the courts during the last week.

Three other males - two 17-year-olds and one 21-year-old were also charged.
