Three young men arrested after car searched as part of Operation Thor
Three men in their early twenties were arrested after a car was searched by gardai in Dublin yesterday morning.
Gardai in Santry patrolling as part of Operation Thor stopped a car on the Swords Road.
A number of 'implements' that could be used in burglaries were discovered during the search, gardai report.
The three men, aged 20, 21 and 22, were arrested and detained under the provisions of Section 4 - Criminal Justice Act 1984.
They appeared before the Courts of Criminal Justice yesterday morning.
Garda are continuing investigations.
Operation Thor, a €5m plan to blitz burglaries carried out by high-profile gangs, was revealed by Justice Minster Frances Fitzgerald at the beginning of the month.
