One of the country's busiest stretches of roads has been partially closed this morning following three separate collisions this morning.

Emergency services attended the scene on the M7 Dublin./Limerick road between Birdhill and Castletroy where three separate road incidents took place.

The southbound lanes have been closed as a result of the collisions.

It is unclear how many cars were involved in the collisions or if there were any injuries.

Traffic is being diverted at J27 Birdhill and there are delays in the area.

AA Roadwatch are keeping commuters updated on their social media channels.

Meanwhile, there is also a collision on the N11 Wexford/Dublin Road before Glenview, close to Greystones.

Gardai are currently en route.
