Three murder trials begin in one courthouse

THE trials of three people charged with separate murders in three counties are to take place in one courthouse today.

The Central Criminal Court will sit at Galway Courthouse for the trials.

Maura Thornton (31), of Inverin, Bealadangan, Connemara, is charged with the murder of Kevin Joyce (59) at Upper Salthill, Galway on July 31, 2011.

Ceyln Eadon (20), of Islandeady, Co Mayo, is charged with the murder of his mother, Noirin Kelly (46), on March 9, 2011.

Colm Deely (40), of School Road, Ballyvaughan, Co Clare, is charged with the murder of Deirdre McCarthy (43) at a place unknown in Co Clare on March 28, 2011.
