Three men arrested in €100k drug seizure

GARDAI have arrested three men following the seizure of €100,000 worth of cannabis plants and herb at an underground grow house at Derreenaling, Ballyvourney, in west Cork.

They are being detained at various garda stations in west Cork. They can be held for up to seven days.

Meanwhile, two men have been arrested after gardai discovered a cannabis grow house and seized stolen vehicles from an industrial estate.

The men, one in his 30s and the other in his 60s, were detained when gardai stopped a van at Centrepoint, Rosemount Business Park, Ballycoolin, in Dublin 15.

Gardai then obtained a warrant to search a unit at the industrial estate and recovered a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Volkswagen Jetta.

The vehicles are believed to have been stolen from Navan, Co Meath, on April 18.

When officers searched the upstairs of the premises they discovered a cannabis grow house with 95 potted plants.

The two men were detained at Blanchardstown garda station.
