Three gardai have been hospitalised after a patrol car they were traveling in crashed into a wall.

The gardai were on duty at the time when the incident happened in Gortnaskeha near Ballybunion, Co Kerry at 2:35am.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the three gardaí were taken to Tralee General hospital.

Their injuries are understood to be non-life threatening.
