Three arrested after Kilkenny stabbing

THREE people have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in a stabbing attack.

The 21-year-old was knifed at an apartment complex in Kilkenny city at about 9pm last night.

Two men and one woman were arrested and have been detained at Kilkenny and Thomastown Garda Stations under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.

The suspects are all in their early 20s.

Gardai said the attack took place at Lower New Street Apartments in the city.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who was in the area between 8pm and 10pm or has information about the stabbing to contact them.

The injured man is being treated at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.
