Three arrested after €1m worth of drugs found concealed in soap

€1m worth of drugs have been seized in the capital.

As part of an intelligence led joint operation involving Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, a controlled delivery of prohibited drugs originating in Spain was carried out today in the North inner city area of Dublin.  

Approximately 50kg of Herbal Cannabis with an estimated value of €1 million was seized by Customs.

The drugs were concealed in a consignment of soap from Spain. 

Three men have been arrested in connection with this investigation (aged between 24ys & 34yrs) and are detained at Mountjoy and Store Street Garda Stations under the provisions of section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
