Thousands of people marched in Dublin today calling for more recognition of the Irish language.

Organisers of the Lá Mór na Gaeilge protest say those living in Gaeltacht areas around the country are not able to access State services through Irish.

They are calling on the Irish Government and the government of Northern Ireland to give more recognition to the native tongue.
