•Further Education and Training Awards (FETAC), Higher Education and Training Award Council (HETAC), National Qualifications Authority of Ireland (NQAI) merged together

•33 Vocational Education Committees reduced to 16

•Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology and Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Science merged with Higher Education Authority

Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation

•Competition Authority merged with National Consumer Agency

•Labour Court, Labour Relations Commission, National Employment Rights Authority, Employment Appeals Tribunal and Equality Tribunal being merged into one single agency

•Forfas being merged with Department of Enterprise

•35 City and County Enterprise Boards being reviewed

Department of Environment

•Local Government Management Service Board and Local Government Computer Services Board merged into Local Government Management Agency

•Limerick Northside Regeneration Agency and Limerick Southside Regeneration Agency being merged into Limerick city and county councils

•Library Council being merged with an existing public body

•Comhar (Sustainable Development Council) being merged into National Economic and Social Council think tank

•Merge Affordable Homes Partnership, National Building Agency and Centre for Housing Research into Interim Housing and Sustainable Communities Agency

•Dormant Accounts Board shut down

•Merge Commission on Public Service Appointments with Ombudsman Office

Department of Health

•Merge the National Council for Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery into An Bord Altranais

•Merge Opticians Board into Health and Social Care Professionals Council

•Merge National Cancer Registry Board into HSE

•Merge Equality Authority and Human Rights Commission into new Human Rights & Equality Commission

Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht

•Merge Irish Museum of Modern Art, Crawford Art Gallery and National Gallery of Ireland while retaining their individual names

•Merge National Archives and the Irish Manuscripts Commission into the National Library while maintaining separate identities

•Language Commissioner merged into Ombudsman Office
