THE Dart line between Grand Canal Dock and Sydney Parade line will reopen ahead of schedule tomorrow morning ... good news for thousands of commuters.
Services will resume almost two weeks after the Dart shutdown between Grand Canal Dock and Sydney Parade, caused by river bed erosion on the Dodder at Lansdowne Road Station.
Repairs were expected to be completed by on next Friday 11 but Iarnród Éireann, said "excellent progress’’ meant they could bring the date forward.
Two large trees were swept downstream and had become lodged under the bridge, causing debris to build up against it.
An inspection carried out by divers showed damage to a support pier of the bridge.
The line was considered unfit for use.
