A NEWLYWED who last month bravely spoke about life as a terminally ill mother has died.
Roseann Kennedy (37) from Shinrone near Birr, Co Offaly, was walked down the aisle by her three-year-old son JJ last December.
Two dreams were fulfilled for Roseann in 2013 when she wed Justin and enjoyed her dream honeymoon in New York, which was made possible thanks to the generosity of her colleagues at Birr's County Arms Hotel.
Roseann was diagnosed with cancerous tumours in her back and neck in 2012, and despite treatment the cancer spread to her bones.
Despite her own prognosis, Roseann's primary concern was always for her son JJ. She was extremely thankful to the communities in Birr and Shinrone and staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore for their kindness, care and support.
Roseann was laid to rest in Kilcommon Cemetery following funeral Mass in St Mary's Church Shinrone on Sunday.
