Ten hospitalised after collision between van and minibus

Gardai are appealing for witnesses

TEN people were hospitalised this evening following a collision between a van and a minibus.

The incident occurred outside Colloney, Co Sligo earlier this evening, just before 5pm.

The 72-year-old driver and six teenage passengers on the minibus were hospitalised.

Meanwhile two adults, both aged in their 30s, and one child in the van were taken to Sligo General Hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The road was closed but has since reopened.
