Temperatures to touch 20C over next two days – but weekend could be a washout

THE good spell of weather look set to continue for the next few days – but unfortunately won’t last until the weekend.

Temperatures today will hit 18C in many areas, but it will be cooler along southern and eastern coasts.

While the days will be warm, the nights will be very different, with temperatures expected to fall as low as freezing in many parts tonight.

Tomorrow will be even warmer, with temperatures in the midlands reaching 19C.

While Thursday will begin dry, the weather will take a turn.

Persistent rain will spread from the southwest, spreading northeast throughout the evening and night.

Scattered showers will persist on Friday, and move into Saturday.

Some showers may even turn wintry on higher  ground in the north and northwest on Saturday night.
