Met Eireann says temperatures for the Bank Holiday weekend will generally hover around the high teens, but may creep into the low 20s at times.

Friday and Saturday will be the best for temperatures and will be mainly dry. Sunday and Monday will also be warm but there may be some showers in the western half of the country at that stage.

Met Eireann says there are “all the indications of a pleasant weekend.”
