Tele-shopping is the real deal

A new 'tele-shopping' programme was unveiled last week by RTE.

'Shopping from Home' has been specifically designed "with the Irish customer in mind", says vivacious presenter Kathy Hoffman.

"I deliberately went about creating realistic scenarios, using real Irish everyday people and attracting quality firms successfully operating here so that the viewer would get a true representation of the product involved and enjoy a good experience all round when purchasing from an Irish business."

Products such as Dyson, Chemdry, Slendertone and Peats World of Electronics have all featured on the first show, which airs each morning on RTE1 from 6.30am to 7.00am.

Kathy Hoffman also lists an impressive range of savings, from €110 off Dyson products, €50 off Slendertone, €25 of Chemdry and an exclusive offer of €199 on the new Iomega Screen Play Director.

"I wanted to use real Irish people and homes in the making of the programme," says Kathy. "I didn't want to use models."
