The teen, who has links to ‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson, is a suspect in the murder of Lorcan O'Reilly, in the early hours of last Sunday morning, according to a report in the Sunday World.

Mr O'Reilly (21) was stabbed to death in the south city Oliver Bond flats complex in the capital in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is believed the young man from Robert Emmet Close was stabbed as he tried to stop a fight.

The incident happened at approximately 2.30am as the young man was enjoying the Halloween festivities.

He received a single stab wound to the heart, and was rushed to St James's Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

In the immediate aftermath of the killing, there were fears that the teenager had fled to Spain.

It is believed that he went to England and has returned to Ireland in the last few days.

It is suspected that he may have travelled to England to meet with Thompson.

Gardai are confident that they will be able to locate the youth when they are in a position to arrest him.

“He’s believed to be back in the country,” a source told the Sunday World. “There are indications he was in England, but has now returned. He’s laying low at the moment, but he’ll resurface.”
