Teen charged with owning hole-puncher skips court
A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a youth charged with possession of a tool used for punching holes in a wall as a weapon.
The 17-year-old, who had been granted bail last month, was due to appear again at the Dublin Children's Court yesterday to enter pleas to his charges.
However, he did not turn up and the judge issued a bench warrant for him to be arrested and brought to court.
Last month, the court heard that the teenager had been arrested in January of last year for a breach of the peace and being intoxicated in public.
He was taken to a north Dublin garda station, where he was searched and allegedly found in possession of a 'puncher' in one of his pockets.
A garda told the court the tool was used for punching holes in walls.
