Taximan drives home anger over carbon tax

A GREEN party canvasser in Dun Laoghaire made the mistake of calling to the door of a taxi driver who has been in the business for 36 years.
"Get out of here -- do you know what you've done to my business?" was the uncompromising message she got.
The taxi driver is blaming the Greens for adding five cent per litre to his petrol costs with their carbon tax -- and reducing his number of customers by backing the Dublin bikes scheme (it was actually a Labour idea).
But the only good news for the party is that he doesn't have a vote -- because he's Italian.
