Taoiseach warns McGrath about the risk of splinters
No sign of the leader of the fence-sitters Shane Ross in the Dail Chamber yesterday.
But his accomplice Finian McGrath was there and he was getting plenty of metaphorical rocks thrown at him to try and knock him off it.
Government Chief Whip Paul Kehoe repeatedly warned him about getting splinters from sitting on the fence.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny had no mercy for poor auld Finian.
He said: "Deputy McGrath, you should listen carefully to your constituents, the people living out there because they're wondering which side Finian is on."
