Taking panes to get job done

It looked like a scene from a Hollywood movie.

A team of crack cleaners abseiled down the front of the National Convention Centre yesterday.

Their mission -- to wash the windows.

The landmark building in Dublin's docklands has 475 panels on its curved atrium, which takes the team up to four days to clean.

It's such a large job that it's only done twice a year.

The shining edifice was the world's first carbon-neutral constructed convention centre when it was completed in 2010.
