THE winner of last weekend's €2.9m Lotto draw has been revealed as a Co Donegal syndicate.
The members of the syndicate, who wish to remain anonymous, collected their prize at Lotto headquarters in Dublin yesterday.
One of the members said they "can't believe their luck".
"We must have checked the ticket a thousand times," they said.
The syndicate picked their own numbers and purchased the €8 ticket at John Quinn's shop in Carrick, Co Donegal.
It is the first time the shop has sold a top-prize ticket.
The happy group said they hadn't yet planned how they were going to spend their winnings, but were looking forward to thinking about "all the nice things" they could now buy.
