Suspect questioned over 12th murder in ongoing gang feud

GARDAI were last night questioning a suspect about the murder of a man shot in the head on a suburban street, writes Tom Brady.

Anthony Cannon (26) was the 12th victim of the bloody gangland feud on the southside of Dublin last July, although he was not regarded as a major player in the Crumlin-Drimnagh warfare.

He was gunned down near the junction of St Mary's Avenue West and Phoenix Street in Ballyfermot on July 17.

Detectives yesterday arrested a suspect in his early 30s and brought him for questioning to Ballyfermot garda station.
