Suspect in court over brutal assault death

A CHINESE national is due in court this morning in connection with the death of man outside an internet cafe.

The 34-year-old man will appear before the Criminal Court of Justice in Dublin at 10.30am.

Noel Fagan (40) was set upon as he emerged from the cafe on Wellington Quay at around 4pm on Friday afternoon.

Mr Fagan (right) was attacked and kicked several times.

He was rushed to St James's Hospital but died from his injuries.

A suspect was arrested at the scene of the attack, near the Ha'Penny Bridge.

He was questioned at Pearse Street garda station.

Mr Fagan was originally from Finglas but was living in Stoneybatter.
