Suspect device made safe in Dublin
A suspect device has been made safe in north inner-city Dublin.
The suspect device was discovered in Summerhill Road earlier today.
Gardai moved quickly to close off the area while the Defence Forces were called in to examined the device.
The Army Bomb Disposal Team has since taken it to a "secure location for testing".
A spokesperson for the Defence Forces told Independent.ie that it is not yet known if the device had the potential to explode.
Summerhill Road, between Rutland Street and Gardiner Street, has now been reopened to traffic.
