Drivers, don't put the kettle on

New research has found that motorists still resort to a kettle of hot water to clear their windscreens on cold and frosty mornings - despite the high risk of cracking the glass in the process.
Some 58pc of drivers go the 'traditional' route, with far fewer opting for the car's de-mister or an ice-scraper.
And, worse still, the survey carried out on behalf of Mr Windscreen found an impatient 72pc admitted that they drive off before their windows have fully cleared.
