'Stolen' watch valued at €15k discovered during garda raids

A watch valued at €15,000 was seized during a raida in the Dublin's south inner city on Thursday morning.
The watch was part of a set of jewellery valued at €30,000 and is believed to be stolen property.
Gardai also seized a quantity of heroin with an estimated street value of €30,000 and a substantial amount of money.
They also recovered documents during the searches of four premises.
These documents will now be forensically examined.
The operation, coordinated by Detective Superintendent Peter O'Boyle, was part of Operation Thistle which targets organised criminals in the south inner city of Dublin.
Two people have now been arrested, a man and a woman both aged in their twenties, in connection with the investigation.
They are currently being detained at Kevin Street Garda Station and investigations are continuing.
Meanwhile, gardai seized heroin, ecstasy tablets, cannabis resin and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €500,000 in Meath on Wednesday.
A total of €70,000 in cash and equipment associated with the preparation of illicit drugs for the street market were also seized during the operation at a premises in the Bellewstown area of Co Meath.
Two men , aged 33 and 26, have been arrested in connection with this investigation and are currently detained at Kells Garda Station.
