Station's golden oldies
THEY have passed the RTE retirement age, but golden oldies Gay Byrne and Larry Gogan are still enjoying employment at the national broadcaster.
The veteran presenters continue to work in RTE on an ongoing contractual basis, despite being over 65.
Former 'Late Late Show' host Gaybo (79, right) has been a regular on Irish TV and radio for decades. He currently anchors a Sunday radio slot on LyricFM and records a series of 'One Night Only' specials for TV.
Meanwhile, Gogan (75) has seen his popular show 'The Golden Hour' moved from the weekday schedule to weekends in a recent 2fm shake-up under station boss Dan Healy.
