Start-up firms to create 440 jobs

MORE than 440 new jobs could be created over the next three years in start-up companies backed by Enterprise Ireland.

The jobs are in financial services, life sciences and information technology companies and are the latest in a series of big announcements in start-ups backed by the State's job creation agencies.

They include consumer weather service AskMoby, based in Clare and Dublin, which hopes to create 10 jobs over the next three years and Global Business Register, in Cork, which expects to hire 34 people in the same timeframe.
