SHE fell for him in a well-known bar but to shamed US Secret Service agent Arthur Huntington she was just one of many women in his life.
Mr Huntington (41) -- who was part of US President Barack Obama's protection detail during his visit to Ireland last year -- lost his job after being caught hiring a prostitute in Colombia the following April.
The married father of two, exposed as a serial adulterer, began one of his affairs a year ago in the famous Copper Face Jacks in Dublin.
The woman involved, Cheryl Visser, has told the Irish Independent she was furious when she found out the truth about Mr Huntington -- but has sympathy for his plight.
"He never blagged about work or flashed his badge; he never mentioned it. The only thing he did was show me his diplomatic passport," said the Canadian, who regularly visits Ireland with work.
"He was amazing. He was very attractive. He was kind, sweet, complimentary. He said everything that a guy has to say to get a girl.
"(But) he lied to me and told me he was divorced."
Mr Huntington scandalised the US security services in Cartagena, Colombia in April when he got into a row over money with a prostitute, who he offered just $30 (€24) of an $800 (€645) charge.
It sparked a major internal investigation implicating nearly two dozen agents and military personnel and brought major embarrassment on the Obama administration.
Mr Huntington has since disappeared and put his home in Maryland up for sale. His wife Jolie is understood to be standing by him through the controversy.
In Ireland last year, Mr Huntington was a team leader on Mr Obama's Counter Attack Team (CAT)during his famous College Green speech.
The night before, Ms Visser met him in the Dublin bar and immediately hit it off.
"He looked at me and said: 'You are not getting away from me this time'," she said, adding that the two had seen each other in another venue the previous evening. "I said: 'Why are you here?', and he said: 'You know Obama is here and I am actually with the Secret Service'. But he wasn't blagging and he wasn't flashing his badge."
The pair stayed in touch and even met last August in New York. But then, a few weeks ago, Ms Visser found out about the Colombian scandal.
"I totally lost the lid, I just lost it. I was like: 'I don't want to be anyone's mistress'. I called his number and it went into a recording. He always picked up his phone but not this time.
"Then it all came out and I learned about the Colombian prostitute. He is in hiding right now and no one knows where he is. Obviously he has had so many affairs that he knows women are going to go ape-sh**," she said.
"Of course I am very upset about it because I was lied to. There are absolutely more out there, I know there are."
