Spring shakes off the dynasty

Some of our past and present politicians are sensitive about the "political dynasty" tag.
Former Tanaiste Dick Spring, whose nephew Arthur Spring is running for Labour, said "dynasty" implied something "undemocratic".
"Ultimately, the people decide who to elect and if the dynasty was not delivering to the constituency they would not be elected again," he said.
