Sports camp plans fuel medal hopes

A new sports campus for Ireland could make all the difference when it comes to winning medals at the next Olympics, athletes said.

Olympians Joseph Murphy and Natalya Coyle will be among the first high performance athletes to call the National Sports Campus their home.

Horse Sport Ireland and Pentathlon Ireland said they will develop facilities at the site next spring.

The National Sports Campus Development Authority said both sporting bodies will be the first new tenants at the 520-acre site located in Abbotstown, in west Dublin.
