RESCUERS led 16 people to safety over the weekend from the Wicklow mountains.
They included a family of five and an experienced group of walkers.
The emergencies arose against the backdrop of extreme weather conditions and high water levels in rivers.
Dublin and Wicklow Mountain Rescue and the Glen of Imall Mountain rescue responded to the separate incidents with one rescue continuing overnight.
The family of five were led to safety after they had started a walk near Djouce Mountain but were overcome by high winds and driving rain.
After they were found they were escorted across a river before mountain rescuer in 4x4 vehicles brought them back to the cars.
The second incident involved an experienced group of Dublin walkers.
