Some of the findings . . .

A staff member at one nursing home bullied a resident. A staff nurse at another home threatened a patient. One resident was left to die alone in a home. Instances of assault and verbal abuse by elderly residents on others in a number of homes. A resident was allowed wander out of a home unsupervised. A resident was allowed go missing and ended up locked in a laundry press. Patients in one nursing home were given snacks on paper towels instead of crockery. Patients in a home were left dehydrated. One nursing home breached patient confidentiality. A nursing home did not have hot water controls. Nursing homes were criticised for not having adequate staffing. A small number of nursing homes were found to provide poor general standards of care.
