IT was “rested” last year – but Oxegen was back with a bang this weekend.
A total of 75,000 revellers attended the festival over the weekend in Punchestown, Co Kildare.
Some 25,000 music fans flocked there today to see tonight’s headliners Snoop Dogg and David Guetta.
Not surprisingly, Snoop Dogg got the crowd off to a typically rousing start today to keep the party mood going.
Oxegen's dance and pop oriented line-up initially caused controversy amongst a fanbase used to rock headliners at previous Oxegen festivals.
But the enthusiastic crowd there this weekend were no doubt loving the likes of Calvin Harris, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg and David Guetta.
Definitely aimed at a younger fan base, the heightened security provided by MCD made sure the event ran smoothly.
Promoter Brian Spollen was thrilled with the success of the event, saying "It's been a great weekend, it's gone better than expected."
